Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

Sunset Trail Riders are very appreciative to have received a grant in 2024 from NOHFC (Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation) that allowed us to purchase a new Lightweight RTV (Rugged Terrain Vehicle) Groomer.

The Club’s goal was to groom our trails with this equipment at least 2 weeks earlier as it requires 10 inches of ice rather than the 16 inches our large grooming equipment requires.

With Mother Nature’s cooperation, we achieved this goal, getting our Lightweight RTV Groomer out on the trails by January 5th, 2025!

Sunset Trail Riders is excited to share that we’ve received further funding from FedNor (Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario/Government of Canada) to purchase a second Lightweight RTV Groomer, giving us the ability to groom the L110 and L111M trails leading to Minnesota.

In addition to the Lightweight RTV Groomer, these funds will be used to upgrade 3 warm-up shelters – Yamahut, Enns and Witch Bay.

Sunset Trail Riders extends our sincere gratitude to the City of Kenora for its financial contribution funded through the Municipal Accommodation Tax and support with our grant applications and efforts to enhance our community.

To express our appreciation and celebrate our achievements, and promote our community we are hosting a rally!
