As mentioned in the previous OFSC article, our club, the Sunset Trail Riders, have indeed been out marking, repairing, signing and grooming many of the local trails. And we need your help! In order for our club to get our groomers out on the trails we need thick ice and one of the best ways to get that ice is packing the trails using sleds.

We would like to ask all of our ridership to ride on the trails and pack down the snow along the trail stakes with their snow machines in order to build more ice. The faster we get the freeze the quicker we can safely get the groomers on the ice to make the trails even better. If we can get sleds to pack down approximately 12’ on either side of the lake and swamp trail stakes, the packing assists in freezing of the trail which means they can get groomed than much earlier.
