Hi All,

At a meeting on Monday, October 17th of Kenora City Council the cross town corridor was passed by a vote of 5 to 2.

This is great news for the Club in now having a groomed, designated route through the City which will help snow mobile tourism in our area and will formally connect our South and North Trails.

A special thanks has to be given to your Board of Directors who helped plan the implementation on the reopening of the route and our sub committee composed of Ken Bracken, Shaun Clifford and Bruce McGregor who worked very, very hard with the Mayor and Council and City staff to make this happen.

Interested in volunteering for a position as a Trail Patrol?

Trail Patrol Officers are dedicated snowmobile club volunteers who regularly patrol Ontario’s snowmobile trails, provide valuable trail side information to snowmobilers and promote the provincial user pay system.

For the individual who desires to contribute to recreational snowmobiling a unique opportunity exists to join the Trail Patrol Program.

Hello everyone!

Although I realize we are still very early in the season for snowmobiling, we have been asked by NWOSTA to come up with some promotional material for this winter and the Sunset Trail Riders need your help.

One of the main things we are looking for is some pictures of your favorite trails or adventures. Preferably based around the trails or warm up shelters or special events in our riding area and please put a brief description of what made it special.

We would also love to have a few words (up to a 100 words max) about your favorite trail or favorite memory of the trail from the last few winters as a bit of a testimonial that we can reprint in our brochures.

And please forward this message on to anyone you think may be interested. The more response we get the better.

Can you please help?? Everything we get will be appreciated!!
